We got to the Woodbury, Minnesota location at 7:20 pm tonight their posted closing time online and on the door was 9:00 pm. Right when we got in they told us we had to do our orders to go. It took about 30 minutes for them to make our crepes, which felt long for crepes, and every time someone came in to the restaurant in that 30 minute time span they would announce that they’re closing at 8:00 pm and all orders would have to be take out. Odd experience. We arrived at 7:30pm and the employees said they were only doing takeout orders. We assumed it was because they had run out of dishes or were short a dishwasher, but they later told us, and the people that walked in after, that they close at 8:00pm (website, maps, and the door posted times all say 9:00pm). We arrived at The cafe in Woodbury, Minnesota 8: 30pm and as we walked in we were told that because they were a half hour away from closing, we weren't allowed to eat inside, that we had to do takeout only. Okay so we went ahead and ordered. While the person was taking our order. She turned to the other worker and said go lock the door. So they actually locked their doors 30 minutes early. Ordered the Nutella graham shake and honestly it seemed as if there was more whipped cream than the actual shake. The drink finished a lot faster than I expected but the overall taste and presentation was nice. The staff was incredibly friendly and patient.
