We went this evening and got some of the country vanilla yogurt and it tasted like spoiled milk--it had definitely soured. We reported it and the response was "I will let the manager know." Yuck!

I worked in an ice cream shop growing up and it is normal to have spills, often several a day. Hearing how you handled the spill of yogurt by a young child disgusts me, especially when it seems motivated by race. A child is a child and that kind of response is not normal or, more importantly, kind.

Last night the employees discriminated against a black boy and his black babysitter. The little boy was reaching for toppings on the back row and accidentally knocked his yogurt onto the floor. The white cashier insisted that his babysitter pay for the yogurt that fell on the floor. The babysitter challenged this with the manager on duty. The manager said that it was the child's fault and that the babysitter was responsible. The child was perfectly well behaved-- this was a common accident.
