Let me start out by saying that I've encountered some great staff in this facility. However, the care I have received has been sub-par. I take many things into consideration. I do show often as I am fighting for a better quality of life battling multiple chronic illnesses, trying to find the right help. So yesterday I spent a good six hours waiting at the UW Swedish American emergency room waiting for a CT scan on my brain to be performed as I fell down my front stairs and sort of blacked out for a moment. I felt like I was losing my mind because of the wait Finally, I got back and had the scan and was relieved that I did not have a brain bleed. I had to take my sister there who is special needs. I was very pleased with the nurses, the doctor they were very polite, kind, and attentive. We were there 3 hours but for what she needed done it was well done was very impressed.
In the ER with a loved one due to a huge traumatic issue. Nurses and police were talking outside of her door two days straight, were not timely with her medication, and took hours to address her. I am giving this a 3 star because it’s the only place I can trust that will keep my loved one safe due to limited time and the sudden awareness of the event. I can’t help but think that if I had more time, my loved one would have prompt attention rather than waiting two or more hours consecutively.
This emergency room will have someone killed , only 1st shift cares about their patients . This will get to a point where they will be sued left and right. I am 23 years who and went to emergency room for elevated blood pressure and needed potassium and magnesium. I asked nurse TANIA how much longer until I received my IV bag and she looked at me and told me to unhook myself from my IV and EKG and said “ she’s matching energy “ made me leave the hospital , did not want her to touch me .
