We always had great experiences at Swedish Bainbridge Island. Dr. Monk is a truly wonderful human being and so great with kids. Dr. Nelson is a fantastic doctor. He is easy to talk with, he's trustworthy, and is not afraid to admit that he has to look something up. Although we moved away from Bainbridge, I am truly sad that Swedish is closing. Such a great place! I hope Dr. Monk and Dr. Nelson are able to stay and continue to serve the Bainbridge community.

We just completed our initial meeting/ exam with our new primary service provider, Dr. Nelson. Every part of the process was excellent. The space was well- set up for COVID; the receptionists were pleasant and efficient; the nursing staff was friendly and attentive; Dr. Nelson was exceptional. We have, previously, been self-procuring for necessary specialist care at Swedish but will now be confident that Dr. Nelson and staff will take great care of us as our initial stop for any of our medical care needs.
They are very nice and pretty quick to return a call, but the response to a request for a COVID-19 test can be dismaying: 1. Getting tested may be discouraged, even if you were possibly exposed. 2. Results currently take 10 days. (7/30/20) 3. If your symptoms are not deemed significant enough to merit testing (even for a pandemic disease widely known to spread asymptomatically) the answer may be ‘Stay home, Stay wondering’, which can be not only frustrating, but inadequate for your employer. 4.
