I am writing to express my complete disgust with how this department handled my care. AND as a warning to my fellow chronically, terminally and desperately ill brothers and sisters. I don't want you to get your hopes up that yes you're going to receive the support, Care, & Quality of Life all that are being promised. They won't even talk to you or help you unless you have cancer. If you are dying of anything else like me then it is a waste of time to contact them.
They don't actually help you unless you have cancer. That's what the lady told me. I am dying of kidney failure and fistula and catheters aren't working for me. Palliative constantly missed my appointments, were late or didn't do anything at all. They said they would communicate with my doctors but that never happened. They said they helped people like me but didn't do anything but recommend the suicide hotline-which helps NO ONE unless you like being on hold for over an hour for someone reading a script to sound super unsci... read more
