As a feminist and a single mother I was appalled by the systemic sexism at Swedish! I was held at the front door for almost 20 minutes while they decided if I was going to be allowed to have my blood drawn with my daughter in tow. Perhaps it is a news flash that the schools and childcare centers are closed. This policy disproportionately affects single women and should be illegal. I wasn’t even offered an apology. I hope they get sued.

Was refused medical treatment because I had the wrong kind of mask on. It is our governments job to state type of mask. I am allergic to the surgical mask they hand out, it causes compromised breathing. HIPPA laws that states A hospital cannot deny you treatment because of your age, sex, religious affiliation, and certain other characteristics. You should always seek medical attention if and when you need it. In some instances, hospitals can be held liable for injuries or deaths that result from refusing to admit or treat a ... read more

Ok so im not a new dad as my beautiful daughter faythe entered my life just over a year ago but seeing Emberlyn being born has changed me. As she entered the world her cord was wrapped 2 times around her neck. She was blue from lack of oxygen. I was so scared I was going to see my daughter being born and die in the same breath as i held it once i saw she was blue. I have never been so terrified in my life as I was in that very moment in time. It only lasted a few seconds but in my mind it was an eternity. Thankfully Dr Lee a... read more

I was treated at the Swedish Ballard ER last week after a bike accident. I told the Drs and Nurses about the pain I was experiencing in my leg and they told me that it "probably" wasn't broken and that I didn't need an X-ray. They gave me 1 Advil for pain and didn't offer me crutches or a wheel chair to leave the hospital. I had to ask for the crutches and the Advil btw. Now here I am a week later in more pain than when I left the hospital. I called the ER to see if my current pain levels were normal and was told by the nurs... read more

Swedish Ballard Gastroenterology’s admin is a transphobic trash fire. They rescheduled me 15 minutes before my appt last week after making me wait 6 weeks for my appointment. I reschedule for Tuesday. They call me Monday and leave a message that they have to reschedule me again for Wednesday as they made a mistake. I call back and oh whoops we meant Thursday at 3:30. I get in today and the receptionist’s smile freezes as he sees my chest and beard around my mask. He tells me my appt was at 1:30, and the next opening is Septe... read more
