I want to share feedback about our recent experience. While we are grateful for the care provided, there were moments where the language used by staff towards patients my daughter mentioned felt inappropriate and harmful. Terms like “psychotic” and “delusional” were used in a way that felt labeling rather than supportive.For someone in a vulnerable mental health state, words do matter. Would never recommend go somewhere else. I came in voluntarily but they detained me for an extra week when I tried to leave they then forced me to get in a car with my family.
Was brought here during a mental health crisis where I was dealing with suicidal ideations.I got the overall vibe that I was just an inconvenience, they basically just tested my blood and urine and made sure I wasn't on drugs and sent me on my way when the test results came back. I kept asking for help, resources, support, something to ease the pain, anything really. It just seemed like they wanted me out of there hair. Kind of appalled at the 1.3 rating... I was treated very well here. They stabilized me, got me on medication and set me up with a PHP and outpatient therapist, and gave me all the paperwork I needed for my job/etc. I am eternally grateful to my medical team here who made my stay and time less tough. In particular, nurses Sarah, Fetle, Rodney and Nick are amazing people who's attitudes brightened my days. Especially Rodney and Fetle!
