The scheduler over the phone was rude and nasty for no reason. It took up to 10 days for them to contact me for an appointment. Professionally it should be 72 hrs if even that. I still have yet to see the appointment populate in my appointment feed. I thought it odd they scheduled me on a Saturday when most departments operate Mon-Fri. Do not toy with me. Had to call back twice to schedule an appointment here because the first lady was rude about a bad reception. I know my line was not the issue as I was making calls through out the day. That's not a good first start. Luckily the second time I got someone else.
The care is ok, assuming the receptionist doesn't tell you are checked in and completely forget about you. Making you wait an extra hour in front of them until you tell them that you are forgotten about.
According to Liza Arthur, it is acceptable for social workers to threaten physical harm against patients in the ED. I was at this location for a mental health crisis on September 1, 2025, and the social worker told me that if I left my room she would have 12 security guards "beat me into submission". Those were HER WORDS and an internal investigation found that it's okay for patients to be threatened "for our safety"
Dr. Lehr (heart surgery) and his staff were incredibly helpful and competent! Nurses were mostly great, listened when I was in distress, supported me working on quick recovery. One ICU nurse insisted I sit in a chair rather than in bed when PT was coming, despite my experiencing severe pain in that position. When I insisted she get me out of the chair and back into the bed, she offered me pain killers instead! Food service was disgusting, almost no options for gluten free diet.
