I saw Dr. Rafic Farah as a second opinion, and am absolutely amazed at what an incredible physician he is. He is new to Swedish but very experienced in the world of lymphoma, leukemias, and BMT and was exactly the person I needed to see. He did a ton of research on my condition and history before I arrived in addition to looking at literature pertaining to my condition to figure out the best treatment plan for me. My dad was diagnosed with a rare disease (AL Amyloidosis) in October/November and his Swedish cardiologist sent an urgent referral over to hemonc. They said they would process and get him scheduled ASAP (within 3-5 days). First off, they responded over 2 weeks later and scheduled him 5 months out.
