In these days when auto "mechanics" are mainly computer code readers who unplug faulty components and plug in new ones , it is nice to find a place with real mechanics. Swedish Automotive is the only place that can take care of my three Volvos (1967, 1976 and 1997) and 1987 Saab. They consult about every major item and do not do unnecessary work.

I've had my Mini Cooper here 3 times in the past 3 years and each time the recommended work was explained to me in clear terms I could understand. For some services, they offered 2 or 3 options and explained the difference in the work and probably outcome for each option. They are responsive and communicate promptly when the tech gets inside and finds out what's going on with the car. And they do more than just engine work. I would recommend this shop to any foreign car owner. They did a great job at informing me what's wrong with my car. I decided just to do an oil change in the end and my car came back to me washed and cleaned inside.
I thought I had a good mechanic before but these guys are top notch. A bit more expensive but once they are done it is fixed right. And they are very very kind too. Thanks guys!
