Extremely disappointed with this location. The doctor was great, no issues with him or the exam. Very nice man. The customer service/eye glass tech was horrible. Was looking at getting two higher range pairs of glasses and contacts and the tech said the pairs I was looking at were too expensive for me and I should look at another pair. Not a reference to what my insurance would cover, reference that they believed I couldn’t afford to buy them. I was shocked. Ageism? Racism? This location does not follow the same practices as other locations. I brought in a pair of fairly new glasses with a crack hoping for a repair, and they made me buy a new pair. However when I took them to another SVS location, I was able to get a free repair. An expensive lesson that not all locations are the same - AVOID THIS ONE
I had a very frustrating experience with SVS Vision after my eye exam. During my appointment, I was given trial contacts for a newer, more expensive brand to see if I preferred them over the brand I’ve been wearing. The exam with the doctor is fine, but they will upsell you on a fundus image of the back of your eye. Then, their pricing is complicated and, if you’re paying out-of-pocket, quite high for a new pair of glasses. If you’re not, chances are the plastic frames most insurances will cover will crack in less than a year. They are not allowed to adjust your frames unless they sold them to you. The staff is nice, but they are definitely profit over care.
