Honest mechanics that offer great service. One of the few places I feel comfortable leaving my cars.
This garage was recommended by a friend, unfortunately the two interactions I had were negative. The first being a brake and oil change costing an astronomical amount, and I’m aware brake jobs can be costly. The second was a battery check and replacement again astronomical bill. Final charges both times much more than quoted. When questioned. “Oh we had to use the premium parts, we didn’t have anything else”
I am writing this review after visiting this shop a 3-4 times. We moved to Kingston 2 years ago, we have three vehicles that need regular servicing, etc. It was no longer feasible to use our trusted repair shop in Toronto. At the urging of a new neighbor we began using Svendsen. The first couple of visits were routine and seamless. Small jobs like tire balancing. Then things started to go awry. It took exceeding long to book an appointment. When we did get in the work was rushed. They seemed to be very quick to condemn issue... read more
