I had such a great experience working with Peter. From the beginning, he was incredibly dependable. His crew showed up when they said they would, kept everything on track, and cleaned up. The workmanship was outstanding, and you can truly tell they take pride in what they do. Beyond the quality of the work, Peter is an all-around great person; honest, respectful, and easy to work with. It made what could have been a stressful project feel seamless. I own a property in McHenry County but live in Chicago. Peter Svaras did the estimate, got the permit, ordered my choice of products (manufacturer and color), and completed the work without me ever having to meet him at the property. The job was done properly, and he left the yard clean. This alone is worth hiring him at any price, but it helped that his price was $8k less than one of the competing bids.
If you want a roofing company this is the only choice. The price was the fair and never pushed beyond what was needed. It is clear that roofs are what Svaras does and does them well. I called a total of 4 roofing contractors only Peter noticed how major my ventilation issue was and new it was such a problem told me it had to be fixed. His honesty will always be appreciated. I'm sure there are other good roofers in the area but Svaras will be the only one I will recommend.
Svaras roofing replaced the roof on our home in 2019. We purchased the home in 2020. In 2022 we had to replace the entire wooden chimney chase because the roofing flashing was not properly installed. Additionally, the flashing up against the two story house where the roof line slope meets the house siding was not properly flashed.
