Welp, atleast they were very nice people.. I ran into the classic case of needing to take it to another mechanic to have it inspected. After getting it home and having it inspected to try and get a genuine Ford warranty. They found that it has a leaking rear main seal and a cam phaser issue. Something their mechanic who told me it was a great truck in great shape and should have found.
