The building has been broken into for a second time since the removal of the front desk. It was weeks before residents were made aware of the issue. Bring back the front desk and reactivate the fob keys. The app doesn’t work consistently enough to gain access to to the building and resident services does not always answer the phone, therefore, we are stuck waiting to get into building.

I’ve only been living at Sutherland Apartments for one month, and I’m already counting down the days until my lease ends. From the very beginning, neighbors told me to be careful with packages because they are often stolen or not delivered since there’s no front desk staff. The hallways constantly smell bad, usually of weed or other substances, and cleaning is only done about once a week. On weekends, the smell is even worse. Me and my wife have lived at The Sutherland for just over 4 years. Once upon a time this was a great building with decent amenities, but the one amenity that kept us here was the 24/7 door staff. Slowly, they started eliminating that, and had we known they were getting rid of the door staff, we would have moved years ago. Since then this building has gone completely downhill. I lived here for a year, I loved it. The Maintence was always on time, resident Clarice’s helped with anything I needed. The apartment unit itself was updated and modern. I want to give a special shoutout to Ruth in resident services she is amazing and helped me out a lot with my move out.

I just moved in here a few months ago and one of the best things about it was the front desk people. So many rave reviews on here mention them. About 2 months ago, they switched out our entry system to a phone app and have slowly reduced the hours of front desk staff. This change is HORRIBLE, the app freezes all the time, leaving you waiting outside for some kind neighbor to let you in. It’s a huge safety hazard at night.
