This was my first time at Susie Cakes and I needed to get an assortment of cupcakes for family visiting - we have GF, V, and other restrictions and it’s not easy to meet but Summer was incredible and made it more than just cupcakes by providing personalized service - cherish her! I visited the SusieCakes location at 2535 Pacific Coast Highway, Suite B today around 6:00 PM and was helped by Christina. Unfortunately, I left feeling really disappointed by the service I received. I walked in happy and excited to try a few things, especially after noticing some new flavors. At first I planned to get cupcakes, but I changed my mind and swapped them out for something else. I'm so sad I really wanted to like this and I did not I got a chocolate cupcake with chocolate frosting and a vanilla cupcake I guess with strawberry frosting I ordered strawberry I was assuming it was going to taste like strawberry it did not it was a vanilla cupcake that was very old and crumbling apart the frosting did not taste like strawberry it actually tasted rancid and I had to spit it out the chocolate cupcake the cupcake was okay it definitely wasn't made today I could tell by the top of the cupcake it was very dry... read more

I bought 4 cupcakes. Vanilla and chocolate. Cake part was so small, barley any cake, very sweet and a ridiculous amount of frosting that was extremely sweet. I basically paid for very expensive thick sweet rich frosting. The cake part just fell apart. 10% cake 90% frosting. So disapointed. Not worth $6 to $8+ per cupcake. The people were nice and attentive. No sitting area so it's only to go.
