Savor one of the best sushi in the neighborhood at Sushi Yasaka. Located on West 72nd Street, the kitchen is headed by Executive Chef Mitch N. Shinohara. His Japanese culinary expertise is reflected in every dish and acknowledged by the loyal patrons. Try the Yasaka's Signature Maki, a fried Japanese oyster mixed with vegetable, Futomaki, lobster tempura and geisha roll.

Quintessential "neighborhood gem" and consistently fine sushi
Beautiful! Agedashi tofu is also amazing.
Quite good! And try the toro tartar appetizer!
Very authentic sushi
Fresh, delicious and affordable sushi / omakase in Manhattan! (Don't expect a super unique selection of fish though) Perfect for dinner before a show at Lincoln Center. Reserve ahead of time.
We got a lunch combo with a bland soba noodle soup (3/10) spicy salmon maki (6/10), california maki (7/10) & eel avocado maki (8/10) for $26. We went again but it wasn't as good the second time. 6/10
Sushi special
Lunch specials are cheap and yummy! 🍣🍱🍜
Make a reservation, get the omakase.
