Love this Sushi Joint – i live in the city but take a drive to St. Charles probably once every 2 months for business and i always make it a point to stop @ Sushi Yama. This place has great Sushi and is a good place for lunch. Very clean and cute. I recommend to everyone that lives in the area or surrounding to come here and enjoy Sushi Yama for lunch or dinner. The staff is really friendly too
Great Sushi in Suburbs! – I just moved to the area from the city and was driving aound one afternoon to check out the restaurants and businesses in the area and stumbled upon Sushi Yama. Walked in for lunch and checked out the menu and decided to order. The waitress was very kind and patient with me while i decided on what to order. worst sushi place ever – had dinner there last night and it was HORRIBLE. the cucumbers in one of the rolls had moles!! I would've posted the pics if possible. OMG never go back, DON'T go there. its disgusting. the tables were filthy, just a dirty dirty place in general. food tasted bland, rolls falls apart when we tried to pick them up, sashimis are not even decent quality. when brought to manager looking guy, he didn't even care.

Great food,Great service – I have to dissagree with the othe review , we have been going to sushi yama for the past few years, and Never have we been ignored, and Never have we seen othe people being ignored. If anything you will have several servers stop by your table to make sure all is well, including the owners. The food is excelent, and always fresh, service is wonderful. Alright food awful service – I have been to this establishment a few times, they have alright food. I have eaten sushi and Japanese food from all parts of the country (including places like Nome, Alaska) and Sushi Yama rates at the bottom. For the Chicago area I believe that there are much better Japanese restaurants in the area. Being there not to long ago with my wife and three year old we were completely ignored for almost all of our dinner.
