Fresh fish, reasonable prices and quick service keep this Castro sushi spot packed despite the unglamorous location. – Like so many great restaurants in Tokyo, this bento-box sized sushi joint is tucked into a charmless mini-mall, but stays packed with fans of its fresh fish and reasonable prices everyday of the week. The space is slightly cramped-even three is an awkward crowd here-but functional, and your order is taken and served quickly. The spicy tuna and spicy scallop rolls are on point, as are the miso soup and seaweed salads. Each dish is a buck or two cheaper than comparable sushi restaurants in the city, which, coupled with the limited seating, is why nobody's told you about this place yet.

Feels like Japan Sushi Time, really feels like Japan. First you walk down the steps to the lower floor and walk into a very narrow attrium like room with a sushi bar and sitting for only 16-20 people. You are greeted by the traditional Japanese greating, " Irasshaimase" which means welcome! The menu has a wonderful assortment of sushi rolls, sashimi with special's of the day. Everything is fresh and wonderfully presented. The staff is friendly and efficient. The only thing missing from the menu is Tempura. The kitchen does not have a deep fryer. Which means it does not smell like fried food. This is a plus! Happy hour from 5:30-7:00pm, open 7 days a week. PROS: Great cold tofu salad, miso soup and chicken meatballs CONS: closed for lunch

Small, charming, GREAT! – Absolutely the freshest sushi every time (and I go there a lot). The proprietors are charming, helpful and always very pleasant. The rolls are creative as is the decor. I've never had a dish I wasn't happy with, and I've had most everything on the menu. Can't rave enough about this place!
