The sushi chefs are all veterans with over a decade of experience, providing you with an experience you will never forget. "Shunka" means "Flavor of the Season", and to live up to the name, we pick the fish and fruits depending on the season, on top of everyone's favorites.

Came and got the chef omakase special and wow was it insane. The majority of the fish were Japanese domestic exotic fish. Would come back in a heartbeat. Service was amazing
Amazing Japanese cuisine in Costa Mesa, CA. This place is one of the best Japanese restaurants in all of Orange County. The interior style resembles what all Japanese restaurants should look like, and most importantly, the food and service was top notch. They have an extensive sushi menu and it has always been very fresh and also Japanese imported. Hands down, my top 5 favorite Japanese restaurants in California.
Terrific selection of special fish from Japan, be sure to order off the special menu. Great, entertaining sushi chefs Editing my review from several years ago. Others have made similar comments: the portions got smaller and the prices went up after Covid. I gave them two more chances, but nothing changed. Was one of my top sushi restaurants, but now they dropped off my list. There are just better options available for less money.
