Food was a 9.8 of 10; services were patient and helpful of all those in need of food. I requested chef’s way with the order snd drink. Upon leaving, I felt intoxicated and the uber driver was concerned for me. I did not order any alcohol. I told the waiter of my food aversions: seeds, alcohol, keto necessity, low carb. Got all that, and for some reason hallucinations. Invited in for a collaboration, and still giving my honest, real experience (and I tipped as usual!) This omakase spot is a little different from the traditional ones, instead of classic nigiri, they focus on hand rolls. Each piece is wrapped in crispy seaweed with rice and fresh fish, so it’s a more casual, interactive style of omakase. Personally, I tend to prefer traditional nigiri, so this wasn’t my usual go-to style. But I can definitely see how people who love sushi rolls or hand rolls would really enjoy this. You know how in the movie Ratatouille, the chef is transported to his childhood because of the meal he was eating? When great food is served to you, it evokes memories and the flavors take you places. That’s the way I would describe the amazing omakase experience I had at Sushi Saint NY. The sushi was delicious, full of subtle flavors which blew me away with each and every bite. Some of the flavors also evoked memories of favorite dishes served to us by my dad when we were younger.
