Quick, hot, yummy delivery of Japanese food-and open later! – I have only had delivery from here and it comes QUICKLY, HOT and YUM. They are nice and friendly when I call-so maybe the English isn't perfect but my Japanese ***ks! I would like to have a menu that I don't have to go on the web to get with their beautiful graphics-takes too long on my computer. I wish they used all white meat chicken or would give you that option (they don't) for their Chicken Donburi and also I would love to have Chicken Tempura....other than t... read more

4 of us went there on Saturday night for the first time and were really surprised that only 2 other customers where there eating. They totally renovated this place and you wouldn't have guessed this used to be the old Cafe Riggio (which i wouldn't recommend either). It is a huge place with large waiting room and long bar. I actually liked the decor and atmosphore they created - especially with the large fish tank. Hey, gotta love fish tanks in any restaurant! Fish can create great conversation especially if someone knows som... read more

Good Sushi, nice staff, big plasma TV behind the bar – I sat at the Sushi bar and enjoyed a Una Ten roll and a 49'er roll. Both of which were good. I also liked the fact that they gave me hot tea and miso without asking for it. At the end of my dinner they also gave me some green tea ice cream and a nice hot towel. Over all the experience was pleasant but the sushi was good but average.

Exceptional! Delectable dinners, freshest fish around town, inviting ambiance - all for a great price – Don't feel intimidated walking into Sushi Rock! The first thing you notice is the tasteful decor. The restaurant is split by a 1100 gallon, fish tank, with blowfish, trigger fish, and sharks inviting you to take a seat. The hostess greeted us immediately and sat us down near the sushi bar. As we perused the menu, we noticed the large selection of sake. If you are a sake connousier you'll love this place! The server was ext... read more

Are you kidding me? – They blew their entire budget on the decor and didn't bother with anything else. Usually I have been able to find good value at Korean-run sushi places, but this was overpriced for what it was. The food was average at best. The menus didn't make sense as they were disorganized. They didn't have several things that were on the menu but they did have many things that were not on the menu. However, it was tough to remember this long shopping list of specials and descriptions. The manager had to dictate the... read more

Not the Sushi Rock you know and love... – So, I'm a fan of Sushi Rock on Polk. It's a casual, fun, sports-barish dining experience. The prices are not out of control and portions are good. When I saw that a new one opened up on Geary, I thought "great! easier to park". We went on a sat night and parking was a bit trickier than I had thought it would be. Took few trips around the block to get a spot. When we went in, it was pretty empty, but I chalked that up to it being new. I was very surprised by the decor, expecting the s... read more

Hip sushi joint overlooking the lively streets of Chinatown offers inventive rolls and other Japanese specials. – In Short Ochre colored walls and funky mini orb lights dangling above the sushi bar accent this spacious second-floor dining room. Tourists and locals make the climb for modern sushi inventions. The mango spider roll, with soft shell crab, avocado and cucumber draped in glistening slabs of fresh mango and the Grace Roll with spicy hamachi and tempura asparagus wrapped in healthy soy paper are perennial favorites.... read more

keeps on rock and rollin' – The 2nd edition of this sushi joint is off the hook, once again. I've spent many a night at sushi rock on polk drink large sapporos and knocking down their great rolls, especially since they are one of the few sushi restaurants open late. Sushi rock on pine was top notch again, with great food and service.
