Great sushi, good atmosphere and service – We were in Sausalito for two days and found Sushi Ran on Google Maps. As out-of-towners, we really appreciate finding good, healthy food when we/re traveling. We found the food here to be really good. I think this was the best sushi we've had in a very long time. Fresh Fish – Besides the crowd in the restaurant the service and food was great. Also the atmosphere of the restaurant is soothing
Mystery hype – I've been going to Shushi Ran for years... and years... it's the default location of the place, I guess. It's ubiquitousness on "best of" lists is one of the strangest things I can think of in the restaurnat scene. The "restaurant"area is very small and hard to get into, but the two times I've dined at the bar the food was unremarkeable. Delicious and high quality – I heard that this was a great restaurant; then I heard that it had gone downhill; so I went to try it out for myself. The fish was excellent, high quality, fresh. We sat at the sushi bar and the chef told us to 'trust him' when we ordered the omakase. I'm glad we did! I will definitely be going back.
