local sushi A good place for a local quick sushi meal. Sushi Planet has reasonable prices for sushi and a great place for a work lunch.
FABULOUS PLANET SUSHI The best sushi chefs around. Try an OH MY GOD ROLL, or a SUMO ROLL. Better than Nobu. You will love it. Best staff also. The Moorpark restaurant gets really busy on Friday and Saturday, so go early. It is a sushi lovers dream restaurant.
Best Sushi in MP – We were no longer happy with our sushi place in MP that we had been going to for years so we took a chance on the new place. Been going ever since because we just love it. Alex is our favorite chef and the NAT Special and Bird of Paradise our favorite rolls and the white tuna melts in your mouth! I highly reccomend it, we have never been dissappointed. They are open early on Saturday so we can have a late lunch before the dinner people show up and watch some sports Just wish the Sake stayed hot longer.....
Terrific A great find -- generous portions, great sushi, plasma tvs, yummy desserts. They even have thai iced tea and boba. Try the special rolls -- dragon and Spider rolls were to die for! Also recommended - Love Roll, White Roll, Albacore Delight YUM! Easlily the best spicy tuna Ive tried, same for tempura. Snapper, Albacore, Tuna, Salmon -- all were very fresh.
Good price, nice cozy atmosphere – My husband and I frequent Sushi Planet whenever we need a quick fix of Japanese rolls. The rolls are delicious there, as well as the churashi (spelling?) bowl. The presentation of dishes is not the best, but you shouldn't expect Koi/Hokusai/(insert $$$$ restaurant here) style from a small local joint. The portions are wonderful and two people can expect to spend ~$30 dinner there and walk out stuffed. Sushi to be savored – A great find. Easily the best Sushi in Moorpark or Simi, and a contender for Southern Cali. The special rolls are great to look at but even more delectable to eat. They really know what they're doing here. Even the cooked appetizers (Try the ribs!) and desserts (Fried bananas anyone?) are excellent .
