I was fortunate to be diagnosed in Abbotsford with stomach cancer. I was referred to this Team and Abbotsford Cancer Clinic. I was shocked with the diagnosis as I had no symptoms however Dr AKHTAR was very thorough and found the tumour. I was treated with respect, kindness and professionalism. I had my stomach removed and getting released this afternoon. I am now on a journey of recovery. The Surrey Thoracic Team please accept my warmest and heartfelt prayers and thank you. Dr Chuck Wen is my thoracic surgeon for lung cancer. I have been so thrilled that he is my surgeon. He cares about his patients. He has made me feel extremely comfortable. My surgery went off without a hitch and my recovery was a lot faster than I expected. I highly recommend him.
Tera Mott is by far the rudest receptionist I have ever encountered. Context: I had a referral sent to Dr. James Bond. I was supposed to have testing done and was contacted for an appt for one of these tests. I never received info for the other tests or the appt with Dr. Bond. Whether via phone or email. Suddenly, I get a phone call saying I missed all my appts. I contacted my family doctor who also had heard nothing or had appt info sent to him. He resends the referral. Dr Wen conducted my lobectomy after being diagnosed with lung cancer. He was a pleasure to deal with and answered any questions I had about the surgery. He is talented in his surgical abilities and I am very happy in the outcome of my healing. Highly recommend.
