SurgOne has terrible billing practices. The doctor was good, but like others have mentioned, I got a suprise bill for a 30 second diagnostic. I even asked in office what I owed and was only told about the copay. Insurance covered some, but not all due to the extreme price ($307) charged. An anoscopy (CPT 46600) in CO averages $77 to $150. According to SurgOne Self-Pay Pricing that I found after paying the bill, an anoscopy is $184.71, so they are gouging people with insurance. Caveat emptor!!!!!!!
I recieved a notice that I was going to be sent to collections but when I logged in again to check the balance it still showed zero dollars owed since my last payment. I called to see what the deal was and they admitted that my last appointments bill was still waiting on insurance to pay so therefore I currently owed nothing.
HORRIBLE!!!!!!!!!! Being balanced billed since October of last year mailed several EOB' and cant get anyone to fix the problem. What a joke.
