SurgOne has terrible billing practices. The doctor was good, but like others have mentioned, I got a suprise bill for a 30 second diagnostic. I even asked in office what I owed and was only told about the copay. Insurance covered some, but not all due to the extreme price ($307) charged. An anoscopy (CPT 46600) in CO averages $77 to $150. According to SurgOne Self-Pay Pricing that I found after paying the bill, an anoscopy is $184.71, so they are gouging people with insurance. I imagine Dr Scambati is a nice person. I waited a month and a half for an apt and then waited an hour before being told I would wait at least another hour and a half, and then she might be there. The front desk said they tried to call me, but as I stood with my phone in my hand, I am calling that BS. We confirmed the number and you could see the front desk girl getting uneasy because she and I both knew she was lying.
