On behalf of my father, who died September 19th, 2024, I leave this review. My father went in for a liver biopsy June 18, 2024 with Dr. Heffron, and Dr. Heffron nicked a part of his bowel. Only 12 hours later, the next day, even after showing signs of deterioration, was he taken back to the operating room. In that time my father suffered a stroke that paralyzed the left side of his body, left him on a ventilator, and dialysis and led to a 3 month long battle in the ICU where my dad fought for his life. Dr. Hefron had the experience and intuition to dial into my problem and the technique to remove the cyst with limited risk and exposure. I am pain free and I can breathe again for the first time in years!
Dr. Heffron saved my life 2 years ago with a liver transplant and continues to save it through multiple challenges. As a RN since 1972 and counting, he is the most positive, upbeat physician I have ever known. I am eternally thankful and grateful for Dr. Heffron, PSL's liver clinic staff and PSL's transplant team.
He was my surgeon in another hospital, and when my wound or incision site re-opened and was infected, he did absolutely nothing to help. I ended up needing to go through wound care at another hospital in order to have proper treatment.
