The best Bialy bagel and flat white. Friendly staff and fun atmosphere, locals all around, lovely neighborhood feel.
Espresso for my latte was burnt. Almond croissant was overly sweet. Only ate half.

This is hands-down our go-to spot for a quick bite and coffee in Downtown Encinitas! Totally a local gem — the food is always awesome, and the açaí bowls and smoothies are on point. The staff seriously treat you like family, which just makes the whole surf vibe even better. We’ve got a bunch of favorites here, so it’s tough to pick just one — but if you’re not sure what to try, go for “The Local.” You won’t be disappointed!
Java Hut is one of my favorite go-to spots in Encinitas for breakfast, coffee, smoothies, a place to have a casual meeting and use wi-fi. Carlos the chef is extremely kind and prepares everything with quality and a smile. Carlos at the register is also very friendly and welcoming. The rest of the staff do a great job. Come through and check out the massive cactus growing on the edge of the building. Swami’s smoothie, coffee, and bagel breakfast sandwich will set you up for the day
