Now I see why this office of S or S has such bad reviews here. We rented Beach Babies #1130 on 07/05/25 and it was a wonderful house, the owner really has it super nice! Our S or S contact Penny called Monday 07/07 to check on us. I told her 3 TV remotes were missing batteries and the first-floor balcony light was out. She delivered the batteries the next morning and no word on the light. That morning I discovered the extra sheets I ordered for new people coming were gone. Have rented with S or S several times over past 18 years and it was always great in the past. But this year they made an inexcusable mistake. The cental A/C at our house had stopped working prior to our arrival. While I get that things happen, a heads up would have been nice. There were 6 window A/C units in place so the place was plenty cool, but they are noisy and less than ideal (not to mention many had black growth on the vents). I spent a week at the Hatteras Moon house on Jollie Rd in Avon Beach, NC. We spent a lot of money to stay at the house for a week. I’m going to start off by saying that the house was NOT clean. First night there we noticed small toy like objects on the carpet, Lego pieces, BLACK MOLD ON THE VENTS, the shower curtain had an awful musty smell and when I looked at the edges of the curtain it was stained. Although I love the house we rent, this company is creepy. We had people from there spying on us and taking pictures - it was a misunderstanding, but NOT the way to investigate things. How about a knock on the door? A call? Nope. Creepy lady watching us across the street for over 2 hours. Taking pictures. Ick
