Called to reschedule my appt. less than 2 hrs before time and offered new appt. three months away. What great care !!!!
Awful experience from a poor excuse of a GI. he took no time to actually look at the major symptoms I was having, ordered an expensive scan that came back with nothing, and then had 0 valid next steps. Dr. Karen and his nurse should be retrained to care about their patients and outcomes, because this was a sorry excuse for an experience.
He listened to each of my concerns and addressed each one of them. Plus when I had my procedure done they could not get an IV on me and he tried to get it. In all my years I have never had a doc try to help in that way pre-procedure. I recommend him to anyone who asks.
Dr. Karne is a very knowledgeable physician with a welcomed direct manner and an extremely droll sense if humor!
nurses did not return my phone call after 2 request. That in itself makes me hesitant to go there. This has happened to another person that I knew in the past. Lack of communication is not a good thing.
He is certainly well-educated but his bedside manner is cool, aloof, and seemingly annoyed by questions from patients. I don't doubt his qualifications, but I need a doc who connects and realizes and accepts we don't all just want to blindly take medicine if there are less invasive solutions available, especially with lifestyle. Left three messages over three days and the nurse never called back regarding problem so was having. Doctor did not listen to my concerns or help my problem. Will find another doctor.
I have known him since he arrived in Huntsville. He is a very person, a brilliant Doctor,. He has treated my dad, husband, daughter, and myself.
