My Favorite Kitchen Store The selection is unmatched for sure. There is everything a home cook could need. The quality of everything I have purchased has been worth every penny. I have never had the need to return anything. Also, their cooking classes are out of this world. When I was a newly wed. the classes were instrumental for my skills. I would highly recommend a knife skills class and one other for new cooks.
Lots of stuff, not what you need Sur la table is definitely a good place to go for cooking tools or even a gift... it's great for browsing. However sometimes you can't easily find what you are looking for. The staff wasn't very knowledgeable and I ended up going online and getting something much faster and cheaper. One thing for sure you won't appreciate there are the prices.
Sur La Table Kirkland is Kirkland's Walmart... I can't speak for the cooking class but I'm positive the classes are a lot better than the lacking in knowledge staff. The store looks like I'm shopping at a Walmart, the employees calubur of customer service is on the same level, if not lower than an employee who works for a 2nd hand store, what did I expect from early 20 year olds, who mostly likely have no knowledge of a gourmet kitchen. Very knowledgable employees and a fabulous selection! Sur La Table is one of the best kitchen stores I know. They have everything you need and more! They have the latest gadgets. The Kirkland store has a cooking school with a variety of classes. You can pick up a schedule or view it online. The prices are higher because they are a specialty store carrying the best brands on the market. They also have bridal registry there. Gourmet This is a great little gourmet shop but pricey. If you are looking for a pepper mill, then save your money and go to a box store. But if you want that little something gourmet for a gourmet in your life come here. They have a great selection of all those little cooking doodads that you can't live without. I love htese kinds of stores.
Sur La Table - everything kitchen This truly the place to go for anything kitchen and I mean anything. It may not be the cheapest, but it will have it. The staff is extremely knowledgeable and helpful.
Expensive Sur La Table has anything that a chef could ever dream of but you will have to have a high-limit credit card to purchase these items. Very high priced items - save your money and go to Bed, Bath and Beyond.
Wonderful I have been shopping at Sur La Table for many years. They only had one store at the Pike Place Market back then, now they are everywhere. They have a wonderful selection of high quality cookware, kitchen items, and cook books. They are expensive but it is because they only carry high quality merchandise. I still have my Zyliss Garlic press that I purchased there 13 years ago. I have used it alot and it is still good as new. I have bowls from 14 years ago. Still like new. Williams Sonoma from now on This is a great store while you're spending money.... as soon as you have a legitimate problem with something you bought (in my case a very EXPENSIVE Mauviel double boiler), it's all your fault... Oh, and since it leaks from the handles after 3 or 4 years, it's NORMAL WEAR AND TEAR... O, and did we forget to tell you.... you need to have it retinned after a few years and only a few uses.
