I got an estimate for moving from Homer to Anchorage. After getting estimates from several companies, I decided to go with Superman since they had a reasonable price for the service. I made my deposit of $880, and then got a call 15 minutes later saying that the sales person had made a mistake and that the estimate would be significantly higher than originally quoted -- to the point where other companies were more competitive. Booked a residential move for May 31st. Movers to arrive between 9-10am. Called at 9:45am. They no showed us. Called in again. Where are the movers? No response to any voice mail messages. Random driver called at 11:45am- "We're on the way- sorry, short staffed today." Guys, we already left. We have things to do and, "No, you just can't show up when you want to. Its been 8 weeks and I have no idea where my stuff is. I moved from Alaska to WA State, with my possessions picked up on March 24. They can't tell me where my stuff is, when it will be delivered or anything about my items. I leave messages which are never replied to, not once. I am going to have to call the Police on Monday morning because it appears they may have stolen everything I own.

My move was large and heavy furniture items as well as 10+ heavy boxes. The distance was 9/10ths of a mile in Eagle River. Friendly and professional movers who quickly took care of everything. No Damage to furniture of house. Short distance local move. Average price.
