My personal experience from the quoting stage only: I had a dripping faucet in one of my showers. I called Superior Plumbing to provide me with a quote. I was quoted over $1,000 for a make-work job the Technician tried to sell me on, saying he'd have to go behind the wall and that soldering would be required. The issue I have is that most drips are fixed with installation of a new cartidge and not a valve replacement. It wasn't even explored first; straight to valve replacement at a much greater cost.
