Outstanding Serivce, Repair and Pricing – I brought in my 2001 Outback in for the expensive work I knew it needed at 95,0000 miles: timing belt, water pump, head gasket. I told them "I am in this car for the long haul, fix everything you see that needs attention." That is like giving a blank check to any dishonest mechanic and I expected they would find SOMETHING else that needed work. But no, the car was done the next day and the total was LESS than the estimate. It drives better then before and I am astounded. Thanks guys!... read more
Bad customer service! – I was new to Portland and needed to get my check engine light checked out. I kept going back to them again and again... getting charged for things and the light was still coming back on. Everytime I called they couldn't "find my file" and had to ask me what the problem was, my name and phone number... which is frustrating when you've been back there as many times as I had. Superior Customer Service – These guys have been fixing my Subaru Outback for a few years now. I found them because they were right up the road from my house but I keep going there because they have quick turn around, friendly, honest service, and upfront, reasonable prices. They are so nice, they even offered to drive my fixed car to my house because my foot was broken. Closer in shop to get my Subaru fixed! – Since I first found out about Superior Import Repair several years ago, I have made sure they are the only shop to work on my Outback. I don't know a lot about cars, but I trust these guys with my Subarus. I wish I could recommend them to my friends who don't drive Subarus! The one issue I have had with Superior Import Repair is that it was difficult for me to find time to make it out to their 82nd location. Thankfully, they opened this second shop closer to downtown. Great Service! – I very happily used the shop on 82nd since buying an Outback, and this one on Burnside is even more convenient for me, since it's close to work. I get great service and I'm always pleasantly surpirsed at the reasonable charges. Richie and crew offer good advice to keep repairs manageable. In true Portland fashion, they recommend local establishments for coffee, etc. The new digs have expanded waiting area, but it's the honest service and fair pricing that will keep me coming back. Good place..... – I had a good experience at this location, I've never been to the 82nd shop, but I don't think I need to. I didn't get any hint of dishonesty or any other of the mechanic cliches. I needed a drive shaft and they were half the price of another subaru shop, and they didn't come out with a long list of things that I absolutely had to let them do right away, I hate it when that happens, unneeded stress. stick with the shop on 82nd...maybe – Avoid the one on Burnside until it works out the kinks!!! I took my suby there and it was supposed to be fixed that day...yes I made an appointment for 8:00am and by 2:00 that afternoon they hadn't even looked at it. Then it took three days to get it back to me. When I pick up my car, it now vibrates uncontollably when in gear and the brake depressed.
