Home depot has a great selection of carpet at an unbeatable price. Unfortunately they are having Superior Corp handle our carpet install today. This company has been terrible. They told us they will not move any furniture out of the way after Home Depot said (and their carpet brochure states) moving disassembled furniture is included. I purchased carpet through the Home Depot in Round Lake Beach, IL and they contracted Superior Installations to do the installation of the carpet. During the repair, one of the workers accidentally broke my TV (that was moved into a room that wasn't being worked on per their pre-install instructions). I understand that accidents happen, however not only did they deny this happening, the claims process has been a nightmare (including not even submitting the initial claim). Worst customer service I've ever experienced. Installs take up to 9 weeks. They will delay your install and not call. When ask for a manager they let you hang on the line for a few and conveniently "disconnect".
Not sure why Home Depot is using this company to subcontract work, but I have to say there was quite a bit of pricing gouging and dishonesty. We were opting to get a quote on some vinyl flooring we wanted installed in our basement. We went through the normal process of measuring the floors (Home Depot Specialist, not Superior) and when the quote from Superior came in it was inflated with a line item to skim coat 90% of the basement with leveling cement.
