Great Tex Mex This restaurant had great Tex Mex food. It is one of my favorite places for Mexican food. Everything I've ever had has been good and it is served quickly. This is an especially nice location in the heart of Belmont Shore. It is a large restaurant with back patio dining too. The prices can't be beat and you will leave quite full. The only down side for me is no margarita, but a Corona substitutes nicely.
Good Chicken The chicken quesadilla is probably my favorite menu item they have and I do get that every time I order something. The salsa is ok and I like the whole tortilla's that they give you with to-go orders.
Tex-Mex Tex-Mex is my favorite style of Mexican food and this comes closest. I really love the rice and beans. I know they are the side dish and should not be the main focus, but for so many Mexican restaurants the rice and beans are horrible. I usually do not order take-out from here though, because the food is best if eaten fresh in the restaurant.
Must try! When I arrived up to Super Mex for the first time I was a little worried because I am not a big fan of hole in the wall restaurants. We sat ourselves and instantly I was very please with the environment. They had flat screen tv's everywhere! The chips and salsa alone would make me go again. They bring you full corn tortilla chips that you have to break off and they are to die for. Their menu is very affordable and very delicious. This is a must try!
great location I prefer this location of Super Mex to the one on Beach Blvd. It just seems more convenient and the staff are very friendly! The food is so fresh and hot, it always hits the spot.
TASTY Super Mex is the best... I love their burritos and tacos...The food is always fresh and tasty. Also well priced to feed the whole family.
Park and Walk This place can be found along the thoroughfare in Long Beach. They have dine in and take out...but, if you don't have a friend you'll have to hunt to find a parking space. Their food is really good. I especially like the carnitas burritos. They have soo much meat! You might find yourself on meat overload. Their menu includes standard Mexican fare. It's all good too.
The only Mexican food in "The LBC" Been going here for 30 years, if that doesn't tell you something. Remember when SM only had about 6 tables and you had to wait in line to get in, Then they bought out the "Pink Elephant" and that's history!
Great food! SuperMex offers great food at a decent price. Their salsa is GREAT! This place always seems busy, but service is pretty good. The only bad part is that they ONLY take cash, so you need to be prepared.
