Long check in. Room smelled like cigarettes so bad that my clothes still smelled like it after I left. Furniture falling apart. Needs renovation badly.

Summary - this place is way too expensive for getting way too little. Rooms - Stinky rooms, bathroom light stops working randomly and bath amenities no longer include conditioner and body lotion (C'mon Choice hotels!). Also no room cleaning happened during my stay. Breakfast - the stingiest motel breakfast I've ever had, first of all who the h feeds donnettes to guests for breakfast, the waffle, waffle maker was out of waffle mix the entire time. Very sad hotel. Check in process was incredibly slow. They were unprepared to handle the number of reservations they had. Waited nearly 30 min just to check in. Windows open but have no screens so bugs will just fly in if you leave them open. Beds are ok, nothing special. Bathroom floor and toilet are literally slanted and uneven. Honestly it wouldn't be bad if it was $100ish per night but for $300 per night I expected at least a better breakfast. Will never stay here again. I stayed here when I ran the Silver Rush 50. It was literally across the road and down a 100 ft. Rooms an outdated but the location was wonderful.

Stayed here Th-Sun for the Leadville 100 trail race. This is an average motel, it’s old and not updated etc. But for purposes of the race it was 10/10 for convenience, location, and met the basic needs of providing us a bed and room given we weren’t even in the room for 30+ hours of our weekend. Staff were helpful. Check-in was quick on Thursday but we saw on Friday at 3pm the lobby was jam packed with guests all trying to check in at once - perhaps extra staffing for these times would be helpful.
