Very nice hotel, super great and nice management and staff. This place shows exactly what mom and pop hotel places are capable of. First off they don't miss a beat on customer service- 2nd- they are not cheap on anything they put in their rooms. My room had 4 pillows across the bed that had plenty of fluff- my room was also clean and the bed was very comfortable. Thank you Emmetsburg hotel and suites staff for being amazing!
Considerably better experience than expected from a small town motel. Rooms were spacious and clean, water was hot in the shower, tv worked. Not much more tou can ask for. Breakfast was pretty mid, but "free" doesn't get you much. Waffles and yogurt, cereal... Crock pot of biscuits and gravy would have made my morning.
DO NOT STAY HERE. I strongly advise patrons to go across the street to the other hotel. I've stayed here before and everything was great. However, during my most recent stay, I was extremely disappointed. I booked a 3 night stay and everything was fine the first two nights. During the last night, I was DISGUSTED and terrified. I found a large insect in my bedsheets buzzing and crawling around as I was trying to sleep. It was the size of a bumblebee but I couldn't tell what it was. This place is simple but everything you need. Very clean, quiet. The family owners were all incredibly friendly and helpful. The all day breakfast items were fresh and convenient. The water pressure is amazing and the water hot. Good internet. Coffee in the room, and a nice coffee table lace across the street. Very close to town and a safe area to leave your car. All in all, excellent.
