RecommendedI headed over to Chico rather late with my 90 year old mother the night of the precautionary evacuations from Oroville due to a nearby fire- Monday, August 10th. We arrived at Super 8 close to 11 PM, and all of the rooms were of course filled. The concierge was so kind and helpful about our predicament and gave us many great ideas. We rented three rooms but Expedia messed up somehow and only reserved two rooms. When we got there the clerk said they were out of that room type. Then she said that there was one open that was dirty. Housekeeping was gone for the day but the clerk asked if we would be willing to wait for to clean the room. She explained that she had never been in housekeeping but would do her best. She checked us into the two rooms that were reserved and she went and cleaned the room - while answering calls from the portable phone and runni... read more
