Rented a room last minute, and I have stayed here in the past no major issue. Now I rent one and I go in and its like noone cleans the rooms, first room he gives me old bedding not even made, trash everywhere, smoke detector hanging, chair all tore up and stinks. Second room he gives me old mattresses, a/c hardly works, short towels and wash cloths, and it was a double room instead of a queen like I originally wanted and what is sad is he had hundred other rooms cuz there was no car in the lot. I will say I took the risk of staying here because it was 1 of 2 hotels in Paris, IL on a work trip I needed somewhere close, but worst hotel decision I have ever made. As a traveling service technician I stay in hotels frequently and I have never been as disappointed before. The hotel itself was disgusting, I did not feel comfortable sleeping under the covers because of how stained their mattress was with blood and other stains. I am massively disappointed with this hotel. Even for a Super 8 this has to be below the franchise standards. Everything was empty. No snacks in the snack machine. No ice in the ice machine. Pathetic and understocked "Continental breakfast" had NO COFFEE for days, and even then only had one carafe labeled Decaf containing caffeinated coffee. Tea bags but no hot water. No iron available. Me and my husband stayed 3 nights in paris for a couple of jobs. We love twin lake fishing as well. We first stayed across the street and quickly switched to this super 8. Comfy bed, clean room, clean linens, nice hot shower. We stayed in room 112 and the window in that room you can see deer come out the woods into the field. I love how it's not too crowded and love that it's out the way. The man who checked us in was nice and personable.
