Exceptionally clean room with microwave,refrigerator and TV at reasonable price.
The hotel is VERY outdated and as many others have pointed out, it smells like smoke and the rooms are yellow from all of the years of previous smoking. We’re guessing it was poorly insulated as we could EASILY hear the conversations of all of our neighbors, even a couple of rooms down. Spend the extra $10-$20 and stay at the Holiday Inn or Comfort Inn if you can afford it. We’re guessing that it’s popular due to it allows dogs as we saw several guests with them. Nice clean comfortable place to stay while visiting friends in Madison with our dogs. The rate was higher than I had been quoted when reserving the room so not sure what happened with that? Good coffee too although the breakfast choices were quite limited. Only complaint was noise from other guests up very early (for hunting?) which woke the dog and caused her to bark some.
