I had a mixed experience at the Super 8 Ketchikan. On the positive side, the staff members were incredibly friendly and easy to work with—check-in was a breeze. The location is also very convenient. However, the building itself is quite dated and is definitely due for a major overhaul. While the room was 'okay' for a short stay, the cleanliness wasn't up to par. It’s a fine spot if you just need a place to crash, but it could use some serious modernizing.

The staff here was great. Helpful with anything I needed. I recommend one of the ocean view rooms, it made the experience so much better.

Despite my better judgement I was tempted to book by the price. I found evidence of bedbugs in my room and while the desk let me switch rooms twice each one had the same issue (pics attached). The manager promised a refund but didn’t follow through despite multiple follow-ups. (Booking partner offer, Booking confirmed the property must confirm refund and did not authorize them.) The people who operate this motel are very nice and try to be accommodating. Unfortunately, maintenance is grossly lacking and a motel that has the ability to be inviting and highly welcoming is, instead, third rate.
