First off, this place is a dump. That being said, it’s hard to find hotels in the Penn State area. Anyway, I made a reservation to stay at the super 8 burnham for parents weekend. When my son said he was traveling that weekend, I called super 8 to cancel, talked to someone at the front desk, was told it was canceled, and forgot about it. Freshly renovated hotel, room was clean and actually had a working mini fridge. Not many options to choose from out in the mountains but this place exceeded “motel expectations”. They offer continental breakfast in the morning and have plenty of parking.

For the price it was ok. Nothing fancy. Smallest lobby I have ever seen. Most of the time I walked past the desk, there was no one there. There was a sign to call someone on your phone. Lol. The room was ok. Again nothing fancy. It was liveable for one night. The beds weren't super comfy. Bathroom was tiny! The door barely shut without hitting the toilet. And the sink was out in the hotel room. I asked for late checkout because I was having a medical procedure and needed somewhere to stay till late afternoon for my recheck..... read more
