$250+ for a hotel in Downtown De Moines during the Iowa State Fair, or a smart $100-$130 at the Super 8 which is also conveniently located nearby. Nice clean rooms and very friendly establishment owners.
Room was fine (hardwood flooring was a new twist). In-room coffee was atrocious, as was the coffee in the breakfast area. Nearby gas stations were aware of just how bad the coffee was from the frequent visits they received from other guests at the hotel. Some Kleenex would be welcome in the rooms as well. Prices were okay.
This hotel was very clean and the family that runs it were very pleasant and kind. I will definitely stay here again.
