I withdrew from SUNY Empire State College in Spring 2024 due to a documented mental health crisis. Even though I notified the school and offered medical documentation, they sent follow-up instructions only to my student email instead of my personal email or mailing address. As a result, my withdrawal wasn’t processed, I was charged tuition, and the debt was referred to the Attorney General.
