Asked fastest way to deposit because I wanted a wire transfer for a time sensitive investment. Teller said check would be cheaper and faster so a check was deposited. Check clears from other bank. SunTrust puts an arbitrary hold. I talk to corporate, this branch, help desk in India, fraud department, and security department all of them tell me conflicting stories and out right lie to me. Typical of banks there is a charge for cashing their own checks. Seems like robbery to me, next time I'll go to a store and give them money.
