An absolutely wonderful experience. Staff are supportive and helpful, the environment is cozy and clean, the schedule was consistent, and the resources provided were excellent. I was worried that Sunshine Lady House would be too good to be true, but it was even better than I was expecting. Sunshine Lady House shined light back into my life again, and I can't thank them enough for helping me get back on the right path in life again.
Most staff were good. Food good. Booklets/ worksheets they give you so you can participate ( you're supposed to finish before you leave, I never came close) weren't helpful to me as disability caused struggle writing so a lot of activities I had anxiety about joining at first. Very repetitive. Didn't like seemed some counselors very pushy on getting you in their group even when you participated all day, groups ended too late in evening for me close to 9/10pm... I can't say enough about this place. The staff is wonderful. The facility is comfortable and safe. Before I even arrived I was guided through the process of intake and what to expect. They structure groups throughout the day and are very receptive to the needs of patients. I didn't know what to expect but I was definitely able to heal and I took away so many good tools and skills. If you or someone you love needs crisis intervention please reach out to this place. They are truly making a difference in the community.
This place better then any mental hospital, I was here, sadly got lice but they helped me not even telling everyone I had lice but took me away for therepy and treated my head, I left 2 days early but I did get help I needed but now since it's been 5 months iv been going down hill agean so I may actually go back I'm just scared at the moment but they treat all people with the most respect and never judge, food is amazing, and the groups you cam join after treatment helped so much
