I am so thankful for Jess at Sunshine Lactation. Breastfeeding was truly the hardest thing I’ve ever done. My son had a lot of difficulty latching and was developing an aversion to the breast. Before meeting Jess I worked with one other LC who really shattered my confidence with breastfeeding. Jess was so supportive and made me feel so much more confident. She explains the science behind latching and breastfeeding and gives sound/doable advice. 100% would not still be breastfeeding without her
We hired Jess immediately after our son was born. He had trouble latching from the very beginning, so we came home from the hospital with a visit already scheduled. She took the time to understand what was going on with him specifically, walked us through what to try, and never made us feel like we were behind or doing something wrong. Jess is a true godsend for my breastfeeding journey. I had all but given up at 3 months postpartum after working with a LC that didn’t have near as much knowledge or compassion as Jess. After struggling with thrush, low milk supply, off and on triple feeding, and formula supplementing, I decided I would reach out to Jess as a Hail Mary.
