Parents seeking respite care are usually running on empty. When you reach out to an agency, you are hoping for a lifeline, not an obstacle course. I specifically chose Sunshine HHA over a massive corporate conglomerate because I am a former small business owner and wanted to support a local agency. Unfortunately, their intake process was so profoundly disorganized that it actively added stress to an already difficult situation. Sunshine has been a Godsend for our small family. The caregivers Sunshine has sent have consistently been professional, patient and kind. Often they have gone above and beyond our expectations. Sunshine has always been easy to reach and very responsive to our every need. I recommend Sunshine most highly for any caregiving needs. We remain grateful for all they have done for us.
We had a really good experience with Sunshine. They always filled the care shifts that we needed for my mother-in-law, even when we called last minute. Whenever an issues arose with staffing or paperwork they addressed it very promptly and professionally. They also consistently went above and beyond when it came to communicating with us. The whole experience felt authentic, caring, and personalized, much different than it would have at a larger organization. Highly recommend!
Sunshine HHA is amazing. They helped us navigate through the quagmire of the COVID pandemic and isolation in bringing my mom home from a nursing home. Daniel did so much to help prepare us before we even officially started and if it wasn't for that I think we would have been very unprepared, due to the pandemic communication with facilities was difficult. The health aides and nurse are also amazing and providing great care! Highly recommended!
